My friend Jade needs to stop getting me into books. I had a TBR set and then she made me read the first book of this series and then I literally stopped everything to read the other books in the series. I finished reading the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking, or the Trylle-ogy   as I like to call it because I'm so witty. I slightly fell in love with this series. It's definitely not my favourite series ever, there were some faults I could find with it but it kept me hooked the whole way through. It kept me on the edge to the point that I read the whole trilogy in 2 days. This is an urban fantasy series but there are also many contemporary aspects to it which I love because the best fantasy books are the ones that read like a contemporary. This was also a self published series but it was eventually picked up by a publisher which I thought was cool. Hello! This is actually the books I've read in December but I'm being cheeky and uploading it in January hehe. Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas/New Year and that 2016 brings you all the best. Read The book I have read is Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult. I've spoken about this in my book haul and well it is quite a good book. Picoult's writing is so intricate that it continues with such a rhythmic flow that it's impossible to not enjoy her writing. This book is about Delia, who lives a charmed life. She lives with her daughter, her father and is soon to be married to her fiance, Eric and alongside them, their best friend, Fitz. Soon she learns that the life she holds dear, is not the whole truth. Her father gets arrested for kidnapping Delia from her mother when she was younger. Despite the fact that I have got so much studying to be doing and whatnot, I somehow managed to read books and will probably read more books. Do not follow my example. It's been a month of very lightweight reading because of my exams. My head can barely handle the capacity of the Russian Revolution. I read Katie Lender's, Marie Antoinette Serial Killer . It's a very different type of book then I'd usually read. It's a horror, mystery, contemporary type novel. Hello! My inner bookworm usually hibernates during the school term but recently it's come out like the social butterfly I am! It has been thrilling, so I thought I'd share with you three books; one I have finished reading, one I'm in the middle of reading and one I've yet to read but will start reading this month Read: The book that I have finished reading is The Well by Elizabeth Jolley. I had to read this book for school and let me tell you, it was haunting! It's a Gothic novel and I don't mean Gothic, dress style Gothic, I mean Gothic as in genre Gothic.
