Revlon Colorburst Lip Crayons

Image
I feel as if I am so late on the bandwagon to this new lip product I've discovered. I mean I only find out after I've purchased it that everyone's already passed the hype. I picked up the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm . I've never tried a lip crayon before and this has lived in my handbag since I've bought it. These lip crayons come in a wide range of colours. The Revlon Colorburst don't only come in a matte balm but also come in lacquer balm and a balm stain. I've found that the lacquer balm has more of a glossy effect once on your lips and the matte is essentially what it is - matte. The balm stain is not as effective and doesn't have that great of an effect because it's more of a lip balm with a twinge of colour rather than a lip crayon. Out of all three, I would say that the matte balm probably has the most effect and shows up more vibrant on lips. I got two colours. One is 'sultry' which is a darker pink with not as much

February: Read, Reading and To Be Read

Image
Hi I love being so free that I can listen to the Star Wars soundtracks and read for hours by the pool. I have been reading some GREAT books. They've made me cry, made me laugh out loud and made me scream and that's how you know you've read a good book. Read This month I read The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I feel as if this book is a classic although it's  not old enough to be a classic. I can just see in one hundred years, this book will be regarded as a classic. It's told from media res with a first person point of view from Amir. We first get to hear about how someone's called him to come back to Kabul and he realises that it's time for him to go back to the place he once called home. Then we jump to the past and of his childhood in the 1970's. Amir grows up in a rich household with his father Baba and their servants Ali and his son Hassan. The book focuses specially on Amir's friendship with Hassan and the class differences between t

A Beautiful Island: Langkawi!

Image
Hello! I went to Langkawi for a little bit after Christmas and I can say I've fallen in love. When I am sick of this world, I will be going to Langkawi to live with a ginger cat and golden retriever. That is all I want out of life. But seriously, Langkawi is beautiful and I love it so much. It's away from everything that it's so easy for you to forget whatever is going on in your life - which is slightly the point of a holiday if you ask me. Whether it be, going back to work or even the small things like changing your pair of contact lenses, Langkawi actually makes you forget about all that. I stayed at the Sunset Beach Resort which is near/in (I can't remember which) the Pantai Cenang area. This area is pretty nice to stay at because everything is in walking distance, which is something you'd definitely want in Langkawi because driving is a headache and a half. There's nowhere to park. It's near staples of Langkawi such as Underwater World and a lo

Book Review; Carry On

Image
Hey hey hey! Oh look another book review about a Rainbow Rowell novel. The only other book review I've ever done on my blog was a Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and really I should write a book review on a book by a different author but really I read Carry On and nearly burst out in tears just out of a mixture of confusionism (I'm aware this isn't an actual word), happiness and awe. It's just really easy to review because there are so many layers to this novel. If you haven't read any of my other blog posts on books (because recently I have mentioned this book in EVERY single post and even I'm telling myself to shut up), then you will be unaware that this is a spin-off from Fangirl , however . It is the fan fiction that the main character writes and it's Harry Potter fan fiction essentially. Unspoiler Edition:  It is Simon Snow's final year at Watford's School of Magik (YES, that's how it's spelt) and his life is a mess. I mean seriousl
