Mecca and Sephora Haul!

Image
Calling all shopaholics! You have come to the right place. My friends and family like to say that shopping is an addiction. I like to say that it's a lifestyle. I was recently on holiday in Melbourne and made trips to both Mecca and Sephora. And whilst I didn't buy much, I did make a small dent in my bank accounts. Too Faced 'Better than Sex Mascara' As an asian, my eyelashes point forward rather than curl up. And no mascara or eyelash curler can fix that. It's my fatal flaw. But I've heard so much about this mascara that I thought, I might as well take the plunge and buy one to test it out. The wand for this mascara is so irregular as well I can't help looking at it all the time.  Winky Lux Flower Balm Yo this thing actually works. I was like "this is so stupid, its a clear lip balm with a flower inside" and then I used it and I was like well DAMN. So I will eat my words. This is one of those balms that react with the pH in your...

SiliSponge // Review & Discussion

Image
I am so late to the party I know. But I thought I should bite the bullet and order a silisponge. I ordered mine from Korah Beauty. They had them going for 40% off and had free shipping down under (Aus). So I was like BARGAIN and bought one. I'm a shopaholic. I'm aware. This is not the original silisponge. The original is from Molly Cosmetics but that's from the US and it would've cost me more. And I didn't want to spend more money...that I already don't have (oops).  Shipping was fairly quick I got it within a week and it came in this pink little bag. Which is like a snap lock bag. So whenever I have't been using it I just leave it in the bag. The sponge itself does actually look like a breast implant. Everyone said it did and I didn't believe them but now that I'm holding it, it does feel like a breast implant. It is so squishy! I keep squeezing mine trying to make it explode because I'm such a child. It's like a co...

I Got More Makeup!

Image
My guilty pleasure is walking around Chemist Warehouse. Which then leads to me spending more money than I should (it's so bad, I should stop). After a while of using them I thought I could now give an accurate opinion on them. Elf Cosmetics Concealer  I had such high hopes for this concealer. This was the first product of Elf Cosmetics I've tried and I hate to say that I was disappointed. I use the last shade on the right. At first touch it is really moist. So I thought that this would work with me. In reality it begins to feel really dry under my eyes and actually start to flake after some time. It also just sits in my creases under my eyes no matter how much I blend it. I'll probably give this concealer one more try before I decide to say hell no. L'oreal True Match Foundation  Rant alert: You have no idea how hard it is to find foundation that is my shade. I am a dark-skinned girl living in a white make-up world. Sorry if that offends you b...

A Little Makeup Haul

Image
You know I feel about lip products. I think every girl buys too many lip products than they should do. I fit in that category. Has anyone seen that episode of 2 Broke Girls where Max and Caroline have like no money at all but Max wants this damn lipstick. That is my life. Like I probably shouldn't be spending money on makeup, but I am. At least I get a blog post out of it. Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator  I use this as a highlighter because it's dark enough to be one for me. It's quite light in terms of thickness of it. It comes on really smooth and has a light shine to it. It's thankfully not that sparkly because it drives me crazy when everything is sparkly. This does glow quite nicely on my upper cheekbones and I really like the smooth texture of this. With this a little goes a long way, you should definitely not be slathering this on because you'll look overly sparkly. If you have lighter skin you could probably pull this off as a bronzer. I don...
