So, I have a  list of books  that I wanted to read in 2016. And I decided to do a follow up blog post to see what I've done this year. I can't believe that it's 2017. I still think it's 2014 and I'm still in high school. And I have my 2017 TBR for you which hopefully I manage to actually get all read this year! I haven't done a good job of reading what was on my TBR in 2016, I'll be honest. I just got sidetracked with reading other things (see The Mortal Instruments). But I did read some of the books on my list. 1. The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner I tried to read this series. And from memory I got through 30 pages before I just couldn't read anymore. The slang and language the character's use is so confusing. I don't understand what they are trying to say and I feel as if I need a glossary of terms to understand their slang. Now that my exams are over, I've been doing a catchup on all the reading I should've done over the year. I got a job solely so I can buy more books. Which I have obviously been doing. Firstly I would like to point out that you don't have to always buy books at an expensive price. A lot of these books I've bought from second hand stores. The book depository, which I'm sure you've heard of if you love reading, is essential for buying books new for a cheaper price and they do free postage! So if you really want new books for a cheaper price then the book depository is the way to go. I bought all these over a range of different places, some second hand some new. But it doesn't  matter they're all books after all. Despite the fact that I have got so much studying to be doing and whatnot, I somehow managed to read books and will probably read more books. Do not follow my example. It's been a month of very lightweight reading because of my exams. My head can barely handle the capacity of the Russian Revolution. Read: The book that I have read this month is a book I picked up at the library one day when I was studying there. I just wanted to read it because I was going crazy trying to study. I read Katie Lender's, Marie Antoinette Serial Killer . It's a very different type of book then I'd usually read. It's a horror, mystery, contemporary type novel. It focuses on Colette Iselin's high school trip to Paris, France. Every girl's dream right? Unfortunately for Colette, her dream trip is haunted by the ghost of Marie Antoinette who seems to be responsible for the murders happening around Paris.
