Mini Haul!
Hello!
I went shopping the other day with my friends Sarah and Theresa because it is school holidays and we thought we'd go out and shop before we start all the holiday homework and study we have to do. (Although really who are we kidding, we're probably going to get like 1/3 of it done and then cry). And there are some LOVELY sales still on! The way into my heart is through a good sale! And let me tell you, I fell in love! So I'm just going to share some of the things I picked up because it was really quite cheap and affordable. This coming from a girl with no job and source of income. If anyone is wondering where I get the money from, it's literally because I don't leave the house enough to spend enough money so I have money saved up from my birthday and Chinese New Year and Christmas and all of that sort. And this is actually the first time since Year 12 has started this year that I actually went shopping properly so I went a little cray, I blame Theresa and Sarah.
The first thing I got were these two v-neck tops from Ally. They are striped and I bought one in the navy and white and the khaki and white. They were 2 for $10 which is a bargain. I bought them because they looked really nice and when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to dress up, I can wear these with a pair of jeans and therefore will not look like crap. And really every woman looks lovely with a v-neck top on.
The next thing I picked up were these pair of leggings from Ally. They are black and white with this nice pattern on it. I had no patterned pants in my wardrobe and these were 2 for $15 with another top so I picked them up. ALSO, I am very small and my body is not proportionate. I don't have a big butt, but in proportion to the rest of my body, it is big and awkward. This makes it a problem especially when buying dresses, because it will be perfect length in the front and a REALLY short length in the back. And when buying pants they usually fit me around the waist and then they're way too long for me, These leggings were not too much longer so I could pull them off! So if you're a size 6 from Ally, there you go!
Along with the pants (because they were 2 for $15), I bought a shirt. I bought this because most of the shirts I have in my wardrobe are black and my mother told me I looked like I was constantly attending a funeral.
From JayJays I bought this lovely summery dress. I know it's the middle of winter but I don't have one and it's pretty. Also if you have tanner skin like me, this colour will look good on you. It has a cheeky little hole in the back. If you're a bit conservative then it doesn't actually show much skin and unless your bra strap is really think, it isn't shown. It's really pretty and is really light for summer.
Now for accessories! I'm sure you've all heard that they are a girl's best friends and really they are! You don't need menfolk, you need a lovely necklace! Also a lot of shops are having a 75% off on jewelry. So that makes everything reaaaaly cheap and it is BLISS. I bought this one from Just Jeans for $7.50 (it was originally $29.50 or something like that) and it is a bit pricey but its lovely and a bohemian sort of statement necklace. It sits really nicely (and I'm quite small so it doesn't overbear on my neck) and it is unusual and for some reason reminds me of mermaids. And of course as soon as I thought of mermaids I had to buy it.
The second thing I picked up was this chained lock necklace from JayJays. As soon as I showed my mum she told me "You're father will hate it!" and he did. Which made it all the more funnier. He asked if I was mental but I loved it! It was originally $12 from Jayjays but with sales I picked it up for $3. If anyone has seen The Carries Diaries, (which by the way, I am so devastated ended after only 2 seasons AND (spoiler) SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET TOGETHER WITH SEBASTIAN WHICH SHE SO SHOULD'VE. If I can't have Austin Butler, than someone should have him) the little sister Dorrit, has a similar necklace and I loved Dorrit's so I had to get this one.
The last piece of jewelry I got was another necklace from JayJays which was also $12 reduced to $3. It is kind of frustrating because I thought they were 2 separate necklaces but they're actually one and thats no fun. However! Don't let this put you off buying a necklace like this. Literally you just need to buy a jump ring thing and attach them to one of the 'necklaces' with some pliers. You can just buy some pliers and pull them apart. If you're not sure, there's probably a YouTube tutorial on it. If you like them together then don't even worry about me! Anyways i just wanted something simple but edgy. They're both not too big or not too small so I really liked them
To be quite honest, I probably bought this much jewelry because of the 75% sale. Sales are a bad influence
The last two things I bought were a pair of sunglasses from Cotton On. They were 2 for $20 so I bought a pair and Sarah bought a pair. Hers made hers look like Audrey Hepburn. I had to buy a pair because my other pair broke (details left unexplained, it was complicating and I was mad). On their own they are about $15.
I also bought a lipstick from Kmart. Quite frankly everyone had this lipstick and I felt left out. It is the Rimmel Kate Moss in 107. It was only $11! So I had to buy it.
That is all I bought! I'm surprisingly not broke! WOOO! I'm going to put my shopaholic self back in the closet now.
