May TBR
This post is more so I can attempt to pull myself out of a reading slump that has lasted THREE MONTHS. The worst (and only bad thing) about being an English major is that you have so much reading to do that once I read all that, I'm too tired to read anything else. But here are the books I want to read in May
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
I have been putting off reading this because I know as soon as I finish this I am going to be reaching for the next book. Problem: It's not out yet. But now that it's coming out, I can finally read this book without scratching my hair out and DYING because the next book isn't out yet. I know this book will be good because when isn't Cassandra Clare good? I can't wait.
Pandemonium and Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Look at me reading things on my 2017 Ultimate TBR. I've finally pushed myself to a point where I can maybe pick up these books and read them. I should've read it ages ago but I did that stupid thing where I left it too long after reading the first book and then just didn't want to read the next one. But I am already like 20 pages in into Pandemonium and I am enjoying myself immensely! The second book of the series is about Lena trying to navigate her way through the Wilds and getting over what happened in the first book (no spoilers here homies).
I Am The Messenger by Markus Zuzak
I picked this up for 50c because I can't go out without buying something. Everyone goes on about how great this book is. It's about the most boring man in the world Ed, whose life is pretty crap until one day he stops a bank robbery (he didn't try but these things happen haha). And after that he gets an ace card in the mail. And then everything blows up! I'm excited to read this.
Frostfire by Amanda Hocking
This is a spin-off to the Trylle trilogy. Whilst that focused on the trylle, this focuses on a tracker named Bryn. She wants to be a tracker for the King's Guard but then her ex-boyfriend starts kidnapping changelings. So she has to go stop him. I love Amanda Hocking's writing so I am so excited to read this series because I know it's going to be great. I do hope that she does this spin-off series well.
Lorali by Laura Dockrill
I have been meaning to read this for like two years now (story of my life). This is about a boy, living in a small sea side town, waiting to get out (story of my life). When one day a girl turns up on the beach. Spoiler: He doesn't know she's a mermaid. I love mermaids. Which little girl was not obsessed with mermaids as a kid? I want more mermaid books like all the time about all things mermaid!
That's all from me. I hope you are having a great week. If you aren't, don't worry drink some tea and read a book
Lots of kisses XXXX
and
Much Love
